Whats going on in the world of Project Thirteen....

Which ISP?
Its an age old question "which hosting provider shall I use"? Well although theres not an anwer due to the fact everyone has there own set of needs, there is one key point that applies and that is reliability. At Project Thirteen we use a fantastic provider called BlueHost For the majority of our sites.

Something new and shiny from Google
In terms of the internet world, Google's launch of a new web browser was pretty big news, and was done in true Google style.  A supposedly leaked link to an online comic book, which explained all the technical goings on under the bonnet of the new browser.

So, is it any good?

Well, this is a beta of course (but then what does that mean these days!), and Google recognises that there is much functionality to add to Chrome yet, but the browser already has some nice touches.  I like the most visited websites page and the Omnibar will change the way we look for things quite significantly.

But these are just nice touches.  The most significant differences are more deep rooted than that, and make it worth reading the comic strip that Google released.  We are used to tabbed browsing, but Google has done a lot of work to isolate the tabs.  This basically means that if you have several tabs open, and a webpage in one tab crashes, it won't take the whole browser with it, just that tab.  The other big difference I noticed was that the browser was very fast at presenting pages, presumably down to the new Javascript engine.

New Website Launched
The new look Project Thirteen website has been launched, or has it?

Although up and running we still have a few more tweaks that you will notice over the coming month.

So what have we done. Well we have expanded in some areas and simplified in others. We feel that the whole feel of the website is so much more inviting and the new logo more eye catching. We hope the new look appeals to your taste. Take a look around and let us know what you think.
